I Net Nerd

I just applied for the Warhammer Online beta yesterday, and I am curious to see if they will accept me into it or not. I really like beta testing games because I get to see how they work, and help make them better. I also like playing things before they come out just to say I have played it, and I know whether or not I would spend the money to actually buy the game. Warhammer looks pretty sick though, the graphics are really pretty, and that is just what my computer needs is a challenge.

I got a copy of Command and Conquer for the Xbox 360. Game is great and one of the best RTS games around. Online play is 4 players and the 1 player had me going for about 10 ours before i had crash. C&C has a long standing franchise that has always made top notch sequels. If you got some spare $ grap a copy.

Update: Played the multiplayer online and well, it was not very much fun. The people who play it attack in a manner that makes the game boring, there is no big battle, just a quick air raid.

I am a huge fan of World Of Warcraft, and I am impatiently waiting for them to even give us a RELEASE DATE of the Lich King expansion. I wish they would not even announce things like this so far ahead of time, because the wait time is forever. Maybe it is to create hype, but for me I just think since they can not even release patches when they are supposed to, it just means it is going to be a really long time before we see the expansion. However, I guess it is something to look forward to, even though some people already do not want to run raids and stuff because their “gear will be obsolete” when the expansion hits. I figure it will be at least a year and a half, so what are those people going to do in the meantime?

I think some of the World of Warcraft clothes that Jinx has are pretty cool.  I like the woman’s snowman shirt, because I love playing with the snowman costume during the holidays.  Every year I still hunt the greench even though I am max level.  I love that they run holiday events like that because it makes the game more fun, but hopefully they will add something new this year.

I applied yesterday to beta test the new game Pirates of the Burning sea, which is an MMORPG set to come out early next year. Since I enjoy World of Warcraft so much I think this would be a really fun game to play, destroying ships and things of that nature. I am hoping to hear back from them, the sign up process and application process was kind of a pain, but it will be worth it if I get in! You can click here for the page to apply to get in the beta. I have been playing Halo 3 for about a week now and if you have not got your copy yet then you are just insane. The game is a freakin blast and everyone on the 360 has been only playing that. It seems that all other games have became obsolete. At least rent the game to check it out. Everyone i know online is playing the game, it is insane.

Call of Duty is bringing their next game to the table with a vengeance. Call of Duty 4 just released today, and it is already receiving rave reviews from gamers everywhere. War games are always pretty fun, and this one looks very intricate. Sometimes when I see games like this I am in awe of how far gaming has become. About 12 years ago my favorite game to play was a shooting gallery game on the computer, which was like a 286 computer or something old like that, and that was one of the best games available.

Hellgate London is coming out on the 30th of October which is in a few short days.  It looks like a pretty fun game to play, and the category of it is a little different, as it is classified as a Action,Role Playing,Shooter.  I have heard what some people are saying about it, and it sounds pretty good for the most part, it is like a Diablo game, but newer and set in a more futuristic setting.  I think I am going to have to check it out!

The newest Sim City is coming out on November 13, 2007, and it looks like it is going to be another fun one!  You can make your cities green or polluted, contemporary or futuristic, rural or urban.  There are so many choices in this one, you never know what is going to happen.  It looks like if you pre-order the game at Game Stop, you can get a free copy of SimCity 3000 and an exclusive Authoritarian City building set. So if you plan on buying it, why not get the bonus too?!  This game looks like a ton of fun, and even more involved than the new ones.

Well the wifes new comp, as pimp as it is still games like crap. So we are headed to Best Buy to pick up a new Nvidia Video card. The 8500 512mb with 450mhz, should be fine. Cost is like 129$. I will let you know how it goes.

And i will most likely hit up the dvd sale some more, 4.99$ for horror flicks is a steal.
