Best Buys

Posted on July 13th, 2008 in Best Buy by Nerd

Whenever I am shopping for any kind of electronics, I try to make sure that I am getting the very best buy possible. Often times I will research a product and check out a lot of different sites to see which one is the cheapest. I love doing product research because I always feel more satisfied with my purchases knowing I got a good deal on a good product.

WII Bundle @ Walmart

Posted on January 13th, 2008 in Best Buy, Circuit City, Coupons and Promotions, Walmart by Nerd

They have a WII bundle on Walmart.com. Just giving a heads up. The bundle is a pricey marketing Scheme. Was around $630 for a $250 system. A ton of people will buy it tho but you get 5 games, some controllers etc, nothing that special. If you are really hurting for a Wii then go ahead and get one.

Why your local Geek Squad is no good

Posted on January 13th, 2008 in Best Buy, News by Nerd

This was a great video about how crappy Geek Squad actually is. I can relate to this since last week someone i knew took their comp to Gee Squad and charged them 300, took 3 weeks and they got the computer back and nothing changed. I went over there, spent less than 5 minutes on their comp and had it was fixed, it was some simple spyware that didn’t even embed itself, you simply had to delete the processes and files and walla, it took less than 5 minutes and was in better shape than what Geek Squad left it after 3 weeks and 300$…

Best Buy Reward Zone

Posted on January 2nd, 2008 in Best Buy by Nerd

If you shop at Best Buy at all it is worth the time and effort that it takes to participate in their Reward Zone program.  When I first started using it they charged for membership, but now membership is free so you don’t have anything to lose.  I end up getting between $20-$30 every other month or so just because I shop there a lot, it is a good deal!

Online Shopping

Posted on November 10th, 2007 in Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City by Nerd

So, I went out yesterday evening to try to get a jump start on my Christmas shopping, I figured that if I did it like this I could avoid a lot of the crowds. I am pretty sure that everyone else had that exact same idea, because the stores were packed and traffic was awful. This is why I think I will be shopping online for most of my Christmas presents now. There are a lot of good deals to be found online anyways, so it will work out great!

I have been playing Halo 3 for about a week now and if you have not got your copy yet then you are just insane. The game is a freakin blast and everyone on the 360 has been only playing that. It seems that all other games have became obsolete. At least rent the game to check it out. Everyone i know online is playing the game, it is insane.
